Men’s mental health • Gianni’s legacy
The Breaking Silence Project is a nonprofit mission dedicated to men’s mental health, inspired by the life and love of Gianni Anthony Perfetto. Building strength through movement, counseling, and connection.
Meet Gianni
Our mission
Every man deserves to be heard, supported, and loved without having to hide what he is going through.
Our mission is to create spaces where men can speak honestly about their mental health without judgment, ridicule, or fear that vulnerability will make them less worthy of love.
Through movement, counseling, storytelling, and community connection, we want to help build a culture where asking for support feels possible and listening becomes something we practice together.
The person behind the purpose
JANUARY 22, 2001 – SEPTEMBER 22, 2025
A protector. A guide. The person people turned to.
Gianni stood up for people who were being bullied. He brought young men who were struggling home so they could feel loved and cared for. His mother, Jasmine, remembers a young man who made room for others and wanted them to know they mattered.
He was Jasmine’s only child, her best friend, and an inseparable part of her life. The love between them is where this story begins.
Gianni was part of Iron Clad programming from his early teens before continuing on his own fitness journey. His mother, Jasmine, believes that movement and training gave him strength to work through mental obstacles, just as they continue to do for her. That shared connection to fitness is part of what inspired The Breaking Silence Project’s focus on building physical and emotional strength together.
Gianni died by suicide at 24. To Jasmine, his death did not follow the sadness or depression she expected to see. Losing him changed her life and deepened her determination to create spaces where people can share what they are carrying.
A crisis does not define the human he was.
The Breaking Silence Project grows from that love. It honors Gianni as a whole person and carries forward the care he showed to others by making men’s mental health a conversation our communities are willing to have.
Founded with love by his mother, Jasmine Fuller.

What we stand for
Men deserve room to struggle, grieve, ask questions, and seek support. Vulnerability deserves care.
Make room for honest stories. Listen with compassion and respond in ways that help someone feel safe enough to keep talking.
We want communities where people feel they belong and where reaching for help is met with understanding.
